Aqeelah Benjamin is a Geospatial Analyst at Umvoto with a BSc Honours degree in Environmental and Water Science from the University of the Western Cape, with a strong academic foundation in hydrogeology and hydrology.
Aqeelah was introduced to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) during her tertiary studies and has since expanded her geospatial knowledge through additional certified courses and practical experience. Her work at Umvoto involves the application of GIS, remote sensing and spatial analysis to water-resource, hydrogeological and environmental projects, supporting the interpretation and communication of complex spatial and environmental information.
Outside of work, Aqeelah enjoys running, hiking, camping, and spending quality time with family and friends..
