Aqeelah Benjamin is a GIS Intern at Umvoto, with a BSc Honours degree in Environmental and Water Science from the University of the Western Cape. During her tertiary studies, her main focus was in hydrogeology and hydrology. Aqeelah started the internship at Umvoto in 2024, where she gains experience in geospatial analysis.
After her tertiary studies, Aqeelah ventured further into geographic information systems in the natural environment through various certified courses and has found a keen interest in this field.
Aqeelah spends her weekends running, hiking, camping, and spending quality time with family and friends.
