Philip Geldenhuys is a Hydrogeologist at Umvoto, with a BSc Honours (Earth Science) degree from Stellenbosch University. Philip started his career at Umvoto in 2017 as a Junior Geologist, where he gained experience in groundwater resource development.
In 2020, Philip ventured into the mineral exploration sector where he gained work experience in Sierra Leone, Mali, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini, and Namibia. During this time, Philip was involved in the planning, execution and management of exploration programmes across several commodities. From his experience working in the mining sector, Philip has gained proficiency in executing drilling programmes in accordance with strict health and safety procedures whilst keeping to stringent QA/QC protocols.
Philip spends his weekends watching sport, hiking, or having a braai with friends.
