Meet our newest hydrogeologist and groundwater modeller Annalisa Vicente!

Annalisa has three years of consulting experience in the field of hydrogeology and groundwater numerical modelling supported by two years as a trainee hydrogeologist. Having worked on a range of local and international projects primarily within the mining sector, Annalisa brings a wealth of experience and industry insight to the Umvoto team.

Annalisa completed her Master’s in Environmental and Water Science from the University of the Western Cape; her thesis title was: Assessing different coal combustion residue backfill scenarios in opencast coal mines, Mpumalanga, South Africa. Throughout her career she has focused on improving her numerical modelling abilities to assist in a range of project types including: groundwater impact assessments, groundwater supply investigations, water use license applications, mine dewatering, mine remediation and groundwater contamination predictions.
