The 25th September 2023 marks eight years since the world embraced the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): 17 goals that guide humanity to a more sustainable world by 2030. To showcase how Umvoto are working together for the SDGs, this year we are taking part in the SDG Flag Campaign with the Global Compact Network South Africa.
This means that Umvoto is raising the SDG flag during the week of 25-29 September to show our commitment to achieving the SDGs and our commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. We’re working together for the SDGs to deliver clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), decent work (SDG 8), sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11), climate action (SDG 13), biodiversity (SDG 14 and 15), and sustainability-creating partnerships (SDG 17). The SDGs provide a roadmap for an inclusive, just and sustainable society.
